Expected Cutoff: XLRI-BM 32+, XLR-PMIR 30+, XIM-B 28+, others 25+
The MBA entrance exam ( XAT – 2010) to be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 from 10 am to 12.30 pm. This is first MBA entrance exam of the year 2010. This is a big exam and cracking it will ensure for you admission calls from reputed MBA institutes like Xavier Labour Relation Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur; Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar (XIMB), to name a few.
The sections are Quantitative Ability, Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, English Usage and Reading Comprehension and Decision Making. Apart from these sections, there is an essay writing part in the exam of the duration of 20 minutes (additional time). The essay is generally based on topics of general awareness. There is progressive negative marking. ¼ mark will be deducted for the first six wrong answers in each section and ½ mark after that.
