IIMs has release the CAT advertisement for year 2010 for admission to various IIM's and Management Institute In India.
CAT 2010 will be held on 20 days between October 27 and November 23, 2010.
“There will be logical breaks in between the exam such as those for Diwali,” CAT 2010 Convenor Prof Himanshu Rai told the press. According to the government calendar for 2010, the period between October 27 and November 23 has three gazetted and three restricted holidays.

The Indian Institutes of Management will conduct Common Admission Test (CAT) from CAT 2010 will be held in a 20 day window, between October 27 and November 23, 2010 .
CAT 2010 will be conducted by IIM Lucknow and IIM Calcutta this year. CAT 2009 was conducted by IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore. CAT was initially held from November 28 to December 8, 2009. But due to technical glitches it was held on two extra days, January 30 and 31, 2010.
CAT is conducted by IIMs as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs.

Application Fees
The application fee for taking CAT 2010 will remain the same as last year. ‘There is no change in the fee; it will be Rs. 1400 for the General candidates and Rs. 700 for the SC/ST/OBC candidates,’ confirmed Prof. Rai.
CAT 2010 ONLINE EXAM DATES
CAT will be held during the period November - December 2010. You can choose a test date, session (morning/afternoon), and venue across thirty centres (cities) all over India, subject to availability.
