On Tuesday, the Examination Regulatory Committee will also decide the fate of three out-of-syllabus questions, asked in the question paper. Candidates will either get full marks against these three wrong questions or these questions will be put off the marking list. The ATRE was held on January 6. The answer key was uploaded on January 18 for objections. Close to 22,000 candidates have raised objections on 142 questions out of 150 asked in the test. After scrutiny, experts found three out-of syllabus questions asked in the test.

The process was stalled as few candidates approached the court challenging state government’s decision of raising the cut off for general and reserved category applicants from 45% and 40% to 65% and 60%, respectively. On May 6, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad high court HC upheld the state government’s decision and set the ball rolling for recruitment of 69,000 assistant teachers in the state. After HC's directives, CM Yogi Adityanath has asked basic education officials to declare results in a week.
